80th Birthday - Chapter Two

 When Mary Lea is surrounded by yarn the only thing she can do is grin!!

When Paula is surrounded by yarn the only thing she can do is clown!!

Dear Karla showed great restraint and stayed away from the yarn. Karla's philosophy is ~ "Buy some yarn and knit it up. When you're done you can buy more". And she stuck to that but we said, "No way!" And we bought and bought!  No picture of me buying here but i did!!

On May 25th, 26th and 27th, Paula, Mary Lea, Karla and I enjoyed a wonderful week-end in Plymouth, Michigan, to celebrate..........Yeah, you know what!
We left Sylvania Friday morning and headed North. Our first stop was in Ann Arbor, where we hit the first yarn shop, Knit A Round.
I have been sitting here since 10:00 A.M. and I cannot remember how to add more pictures and keep this going!! So I will publish this chapter and move onto the next.

Finally - The 80th Birthday Celebrations

This was taken @ The Elephant Bar, my favorite restaurant. Pictured, from left to right ~ Colleen,  Judi, Shawn and Karla.
Colleen took me as her guest to celebrate my 80th. This was the first "Birthday Party".
I have told folks I had nine birthday parties. Many of these were just dinner with groups of friends and  someone wished me "Happy Birthday". :-) I did celebrate with Rebekah and Morgan when they came to help @ the yard sale on May 19th.  My dear friend, Marlene, and I celebrated our joint birthdays (hers is the 15th) on the 16th with a Subway, movie and cake for dessert.
